So while the Cubs were upstaging the main event, there was a very exciting Game Seven going on in Kansas City. Anno thought the Royals would win. I said the Giants would win, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it went the distance.
We got to see a couple of records from the road team, the first from Madison Bumgarner:

Panda will likely cost a lot and I don’t see him as a fit with the Cubs, but we’ll see. Alex Gordon got to third base with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, but Bumgarner worked around that to secure the third World Series victory in five seasons for the Giants. Sports!
We did get to see Billy Butler chug around the bases to score from first base, so that was cool. Keep in mind that all the teams that got to the league championship series, and eventually to the World Series, were built like the Cubs are currently being built; shrewd trades, home grown players, smart free agent acquisitions. It’s gonna happen for us some day, Cubs fans.
In the meantime, I’m gonna gloat over Anno. And here is some of the best news of all:
